Brian Sylvester is a native of Maine and grew up on the coast. He is a graduate of the University of Maine , and received his master's degree in Library and Information Science from Rutgers University in 2008. Since then he has worked as the head librarian at the Thomaston Public Library and volunteered at museums and other libraries in the midcoast area.
